So much to say in so little time...I guess I need to start writing a little earilier in the day. Let's see... school is plugging along. Time is flying by, and it seems like each day is getting shorter and shorter...which is a problem since my homework load is getting larger and larger. Just need to push a little longer and then I'll have a four day break! Whoo!
I had an incredible experience a couple of weeks ago, and I owe it all to Geyna! She asked me to speak with her at a conference in Brazil over skype. So, I learned the Portuguese and spoke to them live! It was rather intimidating, and I felt like a little kid stumbling over my words. But, the Spirit that I felt was so amazing. My testimony was definitely strengthened, and I know for a fact that Heavenly Father loves all His children no matter where they are or what they are doing. I was able to meet and talk with many wonderful Brazilians who were friends of Geyna's. It definitely made my day and my week!
Last night, I was able to go and visit my old Young Women's president. She and Holly, another woman in my old ward, were visiting Holly's parents who live in Philly. It was so nice to see them again and catch up! I am so grateful for her for always being there for me and encouraging me to be my best, despite the tough times I went through.
Yesterday and today was General Conference. And with it falling on Easter, it couldn't have been a better day! It was definitely a hard day without my family, but Conference made up for it. I thoroughly enjoyed the talks that were prepared and the music really touched me. It made Easter so much more real. I am so grateful for a living prophet who gives us guidance and comfort in these turbulent times. I am so grateful for the council that was given these past two days, and I feel that I have the confidence to go forward with an increase in faith and battle the adversary. Bring it on!! I know my Savior lives and I am eternally grateful for His atoning sacrifice. It is incomprehensible the love that He has for each of us. I am only beginning to understand what the Atonement really means, and I look forward to embracing it further, and knowing my Savior even more. This morning, bells were ringing from a local cathedral to He is Risen. I know that He is risen, and because of that, we will all rise again one day, too, to live with our Heavenly Father for eternity. I pray that I will live my life in a manner that is pleasing unto Him, and that I do what He has sent me here to do.
Happy Easter everyone!
