koo koo ka choo and all that haloo

This blogging thing is definitely harder than I thought. Hmm... where to start? Well, I managed to make it through my birthday without having a complete breakdown, and am realizing I was freaking out over nothing. The joys of uncertainty! But, my birthday was really great. I got to go to dinner with my friends at P.F. Chang's and we had a marvelous time...and then had to drive home in a blizzard. This winter has been filled with snow, snow and more snow! I feel like I'm at home!

At the end of February, two of my friends (Geyna and Rachel) and I went down to D.C. for Geyna's friend's bridal shower. Note: the shower was a Brazilian shower and all I can say is I want that!! Wow! What fun! During the day, we went and did touristy stuff and got a personalized tour of the House office building quite by chance. We also were able to go to the International Spy Museum--I highly recommend it! They give you a profile that you must memorize and answer questions about. My name was Angelena Falcone, I was born in Mirano, Italy and am 21 years old. I work as a travel agent and am going to Hanoi, Vietnam for business for 30 days. An absolute blast!!

School is going well. I made it through midterms and am now enjoying Spring Break. The joke around the design students is that it should be called Spring Catch Up. In about a month, our school will be holding its annual Push Pin Exhibition and a few of my works will be showcased. Pretty exciting! It's weird to think that I'm almost half way through my college years! Yikes! All I can say is that I am so grateful for the support of my family, friends, and Heavenly Father. Without them, I would've packed my bags for home a long time ago.

My job as a PR assistant is going great! I absolutely love it! I just got published!! We put out a biannual magazine and I wrote some of the stories, so I got listed in the credentials! And, my boss has already started thinking about having me do a feature story for the next issue on the fashion show. So, I get to go behind the scenes and see all the action! Honestly, if my career falls through as a designer, this is plan B!
NCAA news flash: Our men's bball coach just broke the record of most wins in NCAA history. I was able to be there for win 903 and witness history...and throw balloons down on the audience. Yet another perk of my job. And, Happy March Madness! My school is in Div. 2 and has made it into the sweet 16, but I tend to be more of a Div. 1 watcher. Since University of Arizona or Colorado State had ridiculous seasons (U of A: this is the first time in 25 years they are not making an appearance), I'm going to have to root for Syracuse. That was my number 4 choice of college, but the fact that their mascot is an orange turned me off... But in all reality, I don't really care who wins as long as it isn't BYU... that would be bad. I have a personal vendetta against them. Don't ask why. It makes no sense. Just know that I do it in spite.
In other news, I got accepted into the study abroad program, so I will be going to Rome for a semester. August isn't coming fast enough!! I will most definitely be starting my list of things to see soon!
